Finding a Sanctuary of Sanity: The Participant Experience

Hear directly from our participants and discover how open access to the golf course provides a vital sanctuary of sanity.

For our combat veterans dealing with post-trauma, the golf course has become much more than a place to play—it is a vital rehabilitative tool. As one Cohort A participant shared in their WhatsApp group, "I arrived exhausted, and somehow through the game, the hits, the focus, the conversations... I woke up. We have something wonderful here."

The Tuesday Framework

  • Each Tuesday session includes an emotional "one-word update" round, alongside theoretical and practical instruction from three professional instructors.
  • The activities are specifically designed to bridge the worlds of mental health and rehabilitation directly to the golf course.

Open Access During the Week

  • Thanks to the generosity of the Caesarea Golf Club and the Rothschild Foundation, participants can access the course at any time.
  • Many veterans are arriving independently during the week to clear their heads, utilizing the course exactly as intended: as a true sanctuary of sanity.
