Help IDF veterans come back to life

You stood with them while they served. Now stand with them as they come home. 18 Holes Foundation guides Israeli combat veterans living with post-traumatic stress through a 24-week golf rehabilitation program at Caesarea, and into a community that stays with them long after.

The 24 weeks are the doorway, not the destination

Most programs end at graduation and hand people back to the silence they came from. Ours is built the other way round. The gateway course teaches the game; what it is really doing is bringing someone into a community they stay in, with a place at the club, a standing reason to show up each week, and people who expect them.

The cohort spread across the course at Caesarea
  • A place at the club in Caesarea, so the course stays theirs after the program ends.
  • Mentoring roles with incoming cohorts. The people who were carried a year ago become the ones doing the carrying.
  • Tournaments and regular play that keep the routine intact through the months when routine is hardest to hold.
  • Ambassador pairings with existing club members, so alumni play alongside civilians rather than only each other.
  • The second and third circles. Trauma does not stop at the person carrying it. Partners, children and parents are part of what the community holds, because a recovery that leaves the family behind is not a recovery.

What your support makes possible

Recovery rarely happens in a clinic alone. It happens in routine, in open space, and among people who understand without needing it explained.

Focus that quiets the noise

Weekly sessions where attention narrows to one ball, one breath, one swing, and the alarm running in the background finally goes quiet.

Progress they can feel

From a first swing to a full 18-hole round. Small, visible wins that rebuild the belief that hard things can be done.

A community that stays

Alumni who mentor the next cohort, compete together, and reach the families standing behind each participant.

We measure whether it works

Participants are assessed at fixed checkpoints using instruments from clinical research rather than satisfaction surveys.

PCL-5

Post-traumatic symptom severity, tracked at three points across the 24 weeks.

WHO-5

Psychological wellbeing and vitality. Whether life is growing, not only whether pain is shrinking.

GSE

General self-efficacy: the returning belief that hard things can be finished.

Follow their way back

At the end of each cohort we publish what the PCL-5, WHO-5 and GSE scores actually show, alongside where our alumni are now. A few emails a year, all about impact.
